Pros: The company which our hire car was from was Top Car. On arrival, their desk was really available. After a little paper work and securing a deposit, the pick up of car was fast and efficient.

Cons: I didn't take any insurance, being covered by my credit card (which is in Canadian dollars) so I had to provide a deposit of 1200 Euros from my credit card, which is normal. Instead of "freezing" this 1200 Euros, they took it and reimburse me a couple of days later. With the currency change, at the end, I lost 118,73 CAD in this process.

On return, the agent would not inspect the car, and merely asked if it was damaged in any way, which it was not. I offered to show photos which I had taken of damage noticed at pick-up, but he was not interested in looking at them or inspecting the car with me. I trust that the damage deposit will be refunded fully.

Pros: Competitve pricing and easy drop off process. Used this provider in Tenerife last year as was same there too.

Cons: Car was very poor by comparable standards with other providers - old, clunky navigation interface, Car Play didn't work, car rattled and was under powered fo the hills of Lanzarotte, bodywork already battered, over 50,000 km on the clock and seemed every bit it's age. Uncomfortable and not the model that was booked.

Pros: Car was good value

Cons: Long queue to pick up car in ACE (Lanzarote). The desk could be accessed from within the departure area and outside it. There was a big queue in the departure area but no queue the other side. The agents never told anybody to go around there to be served. It was only when I asked if I could exit the departure area and go to the other side of the desk that she said yes of course.

Pros: Clean car and easy drop off. Great value for money.

Cons: Very slow collection process. Seemingly lots of double key entry and no urgency. Despite full to full policy the car was only 60% full.

Pros: There was a huge delay to take the car because the system was down but they let us return the car with fewer gas as an apology for the inconvenience which was really appreciated. Very kind and thoughtful personnel!

Cons: I ordered a large 7 seater automatic SUV. I was given a midsized manual SUV. It was too small to comfortably fit my family of five and luggage in and having the gearstick on the right hand side made it difficult to drive

Cons: Service is horrific - refused paperwork at drop off. Told me all was fine as long as fuel had been topped up. And then took a security deposit deduction with no explanation and unable to contact TopCar to discuss as they do not offer phone support. I am over £200 out of pocket.

Cons: They took a payment from my credit card for the deposit when the t& C's provided clearly state the deposit will be Blocked from your card

Cons: A long wait at the airport collection desk. A long wait in the car park for the car to appear. A message during our rental that TopCar needed to change our vehicle.

Cons: over 1 hour wait in queue at Airport desk

Pros: Efficient and hassle-free experience from start to finish.
